Yiwu cosmetics industry develop rapidly

A few days ago, an on-the-spot meeting of supervising the manufacturing and managing of domestic cosmetics opened in Yiwu. Reporters from the Chins Commodities Network knew from the meeting that Yiwu has become the biggest base of perfume and cosmetics producing and the distributing center of the national cosmetics.

Yiwu cosmetics industry started in the middle of 1980s. After more than 20 years development, Yiwu now has 90 plus factories and 21 bigger enterprises, which takes one third of Zhejiang province, reaching 2 billion Yuan every year. There are 1000 plus registered trademarks of cosmetics. Perfume, lip gloss and eyebrow pencil are going to 180 countries and areas in Europe, America and South Asia, the total exportation value is over USD 100million.

According to the statistics, among the domestic 4000 cosmetics enterprises, 80% of them have general brand shop and general agency in Yiwu market. Yiwu also has international brands like Shiseido, Lancome and Estee Lauder, 40 national brand cosmetics and 100 plus provincial brands with selling shops in the market. It takes a proportion of 60% in export sales. There are 500 supermarkets from all over the world purchase cosmetics in Yiwu market. Based on the influence of international commodities center and good foundation of cosmetics industry, Yiwu attracts more and more brands and enterprises and has become the global cosmetics trading center.
 Yiwu government pays much attention on the development of cosmetics industry, which has become one of the emphasis industries. The government set up a cosmetics industrial park in Yiting town and gave support in land, capital and technology. Now there are 29 manufacturers in the park and bring a good future of cosmetics industry. Besides, the supervise department put guiding and supporting first, and offer excellent services to the development.
